Internal Tickets
Allocate comp, guest, and staff tickets without public checkout
Internal tickets let you allocate tickets to guests, sponsors, staff, or VIPs without going through public checkout. Each allocation creates issued tickets with QR codes for check-in.
Open Internal Tickets
- Go to Events
- Open your event
- Select the Internal Tickets tab
How it works
Internal tickets are organized in groups (for example, "Sponsors", "Press", "Staff"). Each group can have members and allocations.
- Allocated — tickets created for the group
- Redeemed — tickets checked in at the event
- Unused — allocated but not yet checked in
Create a group
- Start from the empty state — Click Create group if no groups exist yet.
- Name the group — Enter a name (for example, "VIP guests" or "Media").
- Add members (optional) — Add people with a name and optional email.
- Allocate tickets — Click Allocate tickets, choose a ticket type, set quantity (1–10,000), optionally assign to a member, and optionally set a ticket label (max 50 characters).
Download ticket PDFs
Each allocation has a download action. Choose:
- Format — A4 or ticket layout
- Language — your language, English, or German
- Show price — include or hide the price on the PDF
PDF generation runs in the background. When ready, the file downloads automatically.
Edit and delete
- Edit ticket label — updates the label on the allocation and all issued tickets
- Delete allocation — removes unused tickets; blocked if any ticket in the allocation is already checked in
- Delete group — removes the group and its allocations
Stats
The tab header shows organization-wide totals: total allocated, redeemed, and unused. Each group card shows the same breakdown per group.
Check-in
Internal tickets use the same QR codes and check-in flow as purchased tickets. Staff scan them with the cowtic mobile app.
